Archive: You All Look The Same To Me

Archive are a musical group based in London, England, whose music spans electronic, trip hop, avant-garde, post-rock and progressive rock. Over their 28-year history, the band has released twelve studio albums and enjoyed established success throughout Europe.

“You All Look The Same To Me” is a pitch-perfect blend of Floydian Space Rock, Trip Hop soundscapes and textures, Post-Rock guitar work and plaintive vocals. “Again” is simply exceptional, the perfect example of what we call “progressive trip hop”, but the rest of the album can’t keep up what the opening song is promising.

Porcupine Tree, Pink Floyd and maybe Radiohead are the guidelines; you can definitely hear the Pink Floyd influences but the band also has their own distinctive sound, and even with the changing line-up, I can still identify their music as being innovative.
