Website updates
You probably noticed the website went offline during the past few days, or maybe not, since most of you are reading my website through their RSS reader. I’ve been thinking a lot whether it was a good idea (I still believe it was), and some friends said that losing all the information that’s on my website would not be a thing I should be proud of, so the website is back with some changes:
- I removed A LOT of content from the website because I felt like I was shouting into the void since nobody is listening anyway and definitely is not educated enough to realize humankind is going through a struggle that is not going to end well. To each his own, after all. There will be no more politics discussion here, 4chan is ↖ way and Reddit is ↘.
- I simplified the hosting infra and got rid of the DDosGuard proxy for now, unless shit will hit the fan again, like it did few years ago.
- I’ll be writing mostly stuff about retro computers (as I did before) with a pinch of grass-touching (literally). Nothing else.
- As I said in the farewell note, the Internet is dead to me, I’m sticking to what I have in my RSS reader and I won’t get involved into any communities, webrings and the likes. If you want something, email me, but there is a really really low chance I will reply back. Expect fewer updates on my website, because I feel like there’s not much to say.
- I’m really disappointed in the people who bothered to email me during the past few days. When you got nothing to give, don’t ask for anything in return.
- I’m seeing many people giving up the Internet for good, lately, CozyNet being the last of them, while Brandon was the first. Maybe that’s the solution, after all. Maybe virtual socialization really is cancer and this overload of information (mostly bad with a tint of good stuff) is something to stay away from.
- As a bonus, I whipped out a new theme for the website, to lighten up the atmosphere a bit. No dark theme because I dislike those, if you want a dark theme go make your own website. If you like the redesign, great, if you don’t, it’s ok too.
In closure, stay for the cool retro stories and maybe some gardening advice, but don’t expect anything else.
Jump when they tell us that they wanna see jumpin’
Fuck that, I wanna see some fists pumpin’
Risk somethin’, take back what’s yours.
Say somethin’ that you know they might attack you for
‘Cause I’m sick of bein’ treated like I had before
Like it’s stupid standin’ for what I’m standin’ for
Like this war’s really just a different brand of war
Like it doesn’t cater to rich and abandon poor.
