Because we’re the same now. You and I are murderers. But I’m more civilized.

Beyond the Black Rainbow, 2010

Beyond the Black Rainbow, 2010

I went to another world, Rosemary. I see what others cannot see. I looked into the eye of God. And it looked backed through me. It looked through everything. Rosemary, it was so, so, so beautiful, like a black rainbow… and it chose me, it chose me, to reveal itself to me. You’re nothing. You’re less than nothing. Just… spit in the wind.

24 Hours of Le Mans: Free Practice 3

Free Practice 3 just started, after what I’ve seen the last days I don’t have high hopes in Mathys Jaubert and Jamie Chadwick, but André Lotterer will surely do his best. Jamie Chadwick finished last night’s FP on the penultimate place in LMP2 category. I love the looks of the BMW hypercars!

Linkin Park - Wretches and Kings

Steel unload, final blow
We, the animals, take control
Hear us now, clear and true
Wretches and kings, we come for you.

Updating libgcc14 on an iBook G4 is pain

3 days later after starting updating (and compiling) libgcc14 on my Apple iBook G4, I guess I won’t make that mistake again.

Le Mans Qualifying

André Lotterer didn’t manage to qualify his IDEC Sport Oreca 07-Gibson for Hyperpole, but what a shitshow the Hypercar qualifying was: the Cadillacs are soooo loud, the Pugs (Peugeot) got nothing, the Aston Martins got nothing, I have a feeling Ferrari is going to win it. Or bin it. But probably win it.

Le Mans FP1 ended, qualifying next

Le Mans FP1

Le Mans qualifying starts in 40 minutes! From today’s Free Practice 1, the dominating cars in Hypercar category seem to be the nr. 38 Cadillac, the nr. 50 Ferrari AF Corse (which seems to be the favorite car to win), the nr. 6 Porsche and the nr. 8 Toyota. Aston Martins are nowhere to be found. For live times and results, check out the official page.

Mini Skirts and Vintage Computers: A Glimpse Into 1970s Office Life

In the early 1970s, two striking symbols of change stood side by side in offices around the world: miniskirts and vintage computers. Each represented a different kind of revolution—one in fashion, the other in technology.

By the start of the decade, miniskirts had become a dominant trend in women’s fashion. Originating in the 1960s, they were designed to challenge traditional dress norms. In office settings, miniskirts were commonly seen as part of the working woman’s wardrobe. Secretaries, typists, and office assistants were frequently photographed in these outfits, reflecting the broader cultural mood of the time. The Swimmer, 1968

The Swimmer, 1968

Beautiful and unique movie starring Burt Lancaster, with the viewer trying to figure out the psychological puzzle of his life. A movie about the falseness of the American Dream.

Nothing’s turned out - Nothing’s turned out the way - I thought it would. When I was a kid, I - I used to believe in things. People seemed happier when I was a kid. People used to love each other. What happened?

Françoise Hardy - Tous les garçons et les filles

Tous les garçons et les filles de mon âge
Se promènent dans la rue deux par deux
Tous les garçons et les filles de mon âge
Savent bien ce que c’est d’être heureux.

Save the Tiger, 1973

Save the Tiger, 1973

Jack Lemmon got an Academy Award for his role in this movie, and it was during those times when it really mattered, because it’s a superb performance. Sad, slow and disturbing, but what a beautiful movie.

I want that girl in a Cole Porter song. I wanna see Lena Horne at the Cotton Club - hear Billie Holiday sing fine and mellow - walk in that kind of rain that never washes perfume away. I wanna be in love with something. Anything. Just the idea. A dog, a cat. Anything. Just something.

Apple WWDC 2025

Apple

Remember Apple invented liquid glass, n00bs! But damn, this looks ugly, somebody hates colors.

24 hours of Le Mans: Test day

Today at Le Mans was test day, man I SOOOO loved the sound of the hypercars’ booming engine blitzing past the smaller (engine-wise) LMGT3 cars.

Aston Martin Valyrie

The Aston Martin Valkyrie 007 hypercar is awesome-looking, it’s my favorite in the Hypercar category.

André Lotterer

I even spotted the car nr. 18 (IDEC Sport’s Oreca 07-Gibson) driven by André Lotterer. Next year, Lotterer and Pipo Derani will race in a all-new Genesis GMR-001 Hypercar (which is a product of the German-based Hyundai Motorsport operation co-developing the car with ORECA and the French IDEC Sport race team).

Genesis GMR-001 Hypercar

But this year André will have to settle for driving a LMP2 car. Keep in mind that he’s a three-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Audi.

Porting libmaid for Hoshi

Hoshi

Some anon posted on 4chan/g/ about a cryptography library he made (at least he claimed to), and I had to see if I can port to to Hoshi. And guess what, it took about 5 minutes to do it. I’ll keep it as a separate port because I don’t integrate external libraries into Hoshi’s core.

24 Hours of Le Mans

This year I’m making a personal challenge to watch the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 14-15), and I’m going to annoy you all with my commentary. Favorite car will be André Lotterer’s (and Jamie Chadwick and Mathys Jaubert) nr. 18 (IDEC Sport’s Oreca 07-Gibson) in the LMP2 category. Deal with it.

Cannot be reconciled with wisdom, justice and love

A true revolution of values will soon cause us to question the fairness and justice of many of our past and present policies. On the one hand we are called to play the good Samaritan on life’s roadside; but that will be only an initial act. One day we must come to see that the whole Jericho road must be transformed so that men and women will not be constantly beaten and robbed as they make their journey on life’s highway. True compassion is more than flinging a coin to a beggar; it is not haphazard and superficial. It comes to see that an edifice which produces beggars needs restructuring. A true revolution of values will soon look uneasily on the glaring contrast of poverty and wealth. With righteous indignation, it will look across the seas and see individual capitalists of the West investing huge sums of money in Asia, Africa and South America, only to take the profits out with no concern for the social betterment of the countries, and say: “This is not just.” It will look at our alliance with the landed gentry of Latin America and say: “This is not just.” The Western arrogance of feeling that it has everything to teach others and nothing to learn from them is not just. A true revolution of values will lay hands on the world order and say of war: “This way of settling differences is not just.” This business of burning human beings with napalm, of filling our nation’s homes with orphans and widows, of injecting poisonous drugs of hate into veins of people normally humane, of sending men home from dark and bloody battlefields physically handicapped and psychologically deranged, cannot be reconciled with wisdom, justice and love. A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death. Martin Luther King
