Brilliant casting of two novice actors and one movie that hits really hard; as the movie heads towards its inexorable heartbreaking finale, one gets the feeling that Maru is fully aware of how this will end up, but would literally rather die than live in the world she inhabits now. Bonne and Clyde? Badlands? Pierrot le fou? Yes.

There can be no objectivity when you see a film that touches you deep inside, a perfect capture of what it feels to be young and an outcast.
