I rejected all social media all my life and I’m continuing to hate them will all my being. Despite this, i came across a group of people whom i want to contact, and they all use facebook, nothing else. I’m not that guy who expect a dozen people i barely know to just do what i want, even if i’m 100% positive that i am objectively right in this question.
So i created a facebook account, and wrote a message to one of the people. I swallowed that i have to give my real phone number, i hate it but did it after some loud cursing. After about the third login, it made me solve a captcha, whatever, i solve a few stupid puzzles if it means i can have friends again. Then it did what made me furious: it started requiring a “video selfie”, that is basically a full scan of your head with your phone camera. They literally require a model of you. I started reading, and people say even if i do this, it will soon start to require a photo of my ID card, so asking a homeless person to do the “video selfie” in exchange for some liquor is not enough. It won’t let me use the account until i comply with their request. I can’t even check if that person replied to my message.
Yeah.
