In a way, Nikolay Gubenko’s film can be compared to Tarkovsky’s Mirror, because there are lots of things in this film that seem to be directly influenced by Tarkovsky. But Podranki is in no way as difficult to understand as The Mirror. A very good film, nevertheless.
