Limitations and usage notes

The following areas of OpenSSL functionality are not fully implemented by Security Builder Engine for OpenSSL:

DES and RC2 ciphers in CFB/OFB modes

Currently in Security Builder Engine for OpenSSL:
  • DES CFB/OFB is unsupported.
  • RC2 CFB/OFB is unsupported.

DSA/DH params generation APIs

When using these APIs, regardless of the seed parameter you provide, the params generated will always yield a prime q. seed is therefore never updated by Security Builder Engine for OpenSSL.

The parameters counter_ret and h_ret are not supported and are ignored.

The callback parameter is not supported and is ignored.
